VA+ worked over 20,000 hours with SOM teams based in NYC, Chicago. and Shanghai from 2014-2017. At times, the global architectural team totaled as high as 47 people.
The project consisted of 22 buildings with a range of different uses such as, signature tower, office space, hotels, residential towers, low-rise retail, parking structures and an underground recreation complex.
Communication and coordination of resources were key to this project’s success and VA+ played a pivotal role.
1. VA+ set up and administered a Bluebeam Studio Project that hosted cloud based and globally accessible redline set, archived documents, and published project standards.
2. We established a container file to improve consistency between all models.
3. VA+ assisted with the establishment of graphic standards and appropriate workflows to produce them for the whole team.
4. Complex topographic and landscape features originated in Rhino were integrated into the Revit environment.
